Mister and Mississippi take a break!

On November 17th, Dutch pop-rock band Mister and Mississippi (featuring Ria Thielsch's niece Maxime Barlag as a lead singer) made a special announcement on social media:

"After 6 years, 3 albums and hundreds of club, theater and festival shows in the Netherlands and abroad we decided i is time for something else for a while. Next year we will give priority to other things in life besides the band. We don't say goodbye, but the upcoming shows in the Netherlands and Germany are the last ones for the time being. So we hope to see you at one of our shows!"

Ria expressed her pride two days ago and posted this message on her Facebook page:

"I'm very proud of you (my niece) and of what you are going to do later...I think that mum (my sister) is looking at you with a smile from above....💖😍😘💖....we're going to see each other during Holidays....all in the family!"

In 2013, the group's debut album peaked at #6 on Dutch Album Top 100 and spent 32 weeks on the charts

Mister and Mississippi reached their peak when they won an Edison Award in the "Alternative" category in 2014 (see news posted on April 1st, 2014).
