II) Patty's latest columns for Weekend magazine:

  • September 6th: Her farewell to SBS 6: click here to read it.

On August 31st, the diva appeared for the last time on "Shownieuws" (SBS 6's entertainment news program in which she was involved since 2007) - see news posted on September 1st, 2017. In her column, she mentions the "new female head of the TV channel" (without naming her) who provoked her departure. During the summer, Karin de Groot was named director of SBS Broadcasting Netherlands (which includes SBS 6, Net 5, Veronica and SBS 9). Patty was supposed to appear as an expert on "Shownieuws" until mid-2019. De Groot told the larger-than-life TV personality that "she was OK for Shownieuws but she wasn't good enough to present other shows because of her "shelf life". In other words, La Brard was not fresh and fruity enough for SBS 6. Patty felt offended and preferred to leave the commercial TV network to start a new chapter in her life and career.

  • September 13th: Dave Roelvink: click here to read it.

While preparing a travel program for RTL 5, Patty and Dave discussed the highly publicized scandal (including a jewellery theft and a sex tape) that occured three years ago and involving the young man (see news posted on August 20th, 2014). Dave didn't like the way Patty covered this news at that time on "Shownieuws". The two celebrities have buried the hatchet.
