Patty's discriminatory comments censored on "Ranking the Stars"

Ajouad El Miloudi

In a recent article posted on this blog, I mentioned tensions between Patty Brard and Moroccan-Dutch media personality Ajouad El Miloudi on BNN/NPO 3's panel game "Ranking the Stars" (see news on August 17th, 2016). When asked "which celebrity deserves a street named after him/her?", Ajouad ranked Patty the last telling that "she did not mean anything for society and that she did not deserve to be honoured". This incident was a trending topic on Twitter

Earler today several Dutch news websites revealed that Patty's discriminatory remark towards her colleague ("Go back to your country!") during the taping of the game show was censored. Ajouad didn't agree with the producers of the program who cut the controversial segment. "I wanted it to be broadcast to show how Patty Brard considers Moroccans," the young man told Dutch newspaper Volkskrant

The SBS 6 star reacted on social media and wrote that Ajouad was just looking for publicity.
